Consultation/Trainings
Consultation/Trainings
I have educated hundreds of therapists, social service workers, healthcare providers, academics/researchers, and corporate staff on LGBTQ affirming practices at local, state, and national conferences and training events. Whether you are aiming to become more LGBTQ inclusive for employees or hoping to build capacity to serve LGBTQ folx, consultation and training can be essential to meet those goals. As a therapist and a queer community member, I bring a unique perspective to facilitating trainings.
Prior to establishing my private practice, I was the Director of the Anti-Violence Project at Center on Halsted, Risk Specialist at ComPsych, and Research Assistant with Michigan State University. Through my volunteering with Transcend the Binary, a grassroots trans-led organization, I partnered with the University of Michigan to research and present on the trans and non-binary community’s experiences of discrimination, mental health concerns, and coping skills.
